Why we publish our prices
Tom Ashby spent ten years on job sites watching bids double halfway through a job. When he started his own firm, he wrote his rates on the side of the van.
The instant estimate on this site is the same idea. It uses the rates we quote with, so the number you see online is the number we start from. The visit only confirms what a form can’t see.
We stay small on purpose. Every job has one lead painter, and Tom still prices every quote himself.
